Suggested prerequisite: Middle school band or equivalent. Must be enrolled in Concert Band 9 or 10 (exception by special permission of the instructor). Jazz Band is offered as a supplement to the regular Concert Band course.  Students will be introduced to various styles of music associated with jazz in a big band setting at the beginning and intermediate levels.  Preferred instruments include trumpet, trombone, saxophone, piano, guitar, bass and drums. This is a FULL YEAR course offered outside the timetable.
