This course is a sport-specific program designed to develop student-athletes on a continuous, yearlong basis. This course is designed to give students the opportunity to develop an individualized training plan. The goal is for this course to support and enhance fitness conditioning and cross training specific to students in the Spectrum Hockey Academy. Instruction will focus on training fundamentals, differentiated fitness principles, human physiology, goal setting, sports nutrition, weight training and much more. Priority will be spent on developing a goal and/or training philosophy and finding ways to support positive growth. Baseline testing will be used to track baselines, improvements, and end goals throughout the year.
This section is for students registered in the Spectrum Hockey Academy and is run outside of the timetable in the morning before school.
