Environmental Stewardship 11

Course code: YRNR-1BX

Every day we make choices that impact the world around us in positive or negative ways. In Environmental Stewardship, students will examine the root causes of the current environmental crisis (social, political, corporate, technical, and scientific) and work collectively to discover, create, and support solutions that sustain our local environment. A major focus will be taking concrete action together as a class with the goal of impacting the local school and community in a positive way. Learning activities will include guest speakers, field trips to learn about and take part in local environmental initiatives, work on environmental projects within the school, and open minded examination of environmental practices and attitudes within our local community. This course is open to enrollment for students in grades 10, 11 & 12.
