Students will participate in various activities designed to improve understanding and use of both written and spoken language. Classes will engage in individual and group approaches to learning, and students will interpret literature, develop writing in a variety of manners (narrative, expository, descriptive and persuasive). Course content includes poetry, a Shakespearian play and/or a modern play, short stories, the novel and the essay.
